![]() It's funny to think that I can put together entire webpages, and yet I can't ever figure out what to write about myself on them. I guess it's because if I say too much about myself, I feel like I'm be egotistical, but then if I don't say enough then I feel like I'm not telling the people visiting my page enough about me. So, here goes, I'll try to share. I'm a musician, sometimes. I've been playing the flute since the age of 12 and despite having recently taken a year or so off from the instrument, I do still truly love to play. It's a little more difficult for me to just enjoy playing as much as I did when I was just starting, but I think it will just take a little time for me to be able to do that again. I love my cats. I can't help it, they're like my children, and I guess that means they're probably a bit spoiled, but I can't help it, they're so darned cute. Here's a picture of me and one of my two kitties: ![]() I'm 'crafty'. I love to make things with my hands even more than I love to make webpages. My current obsession is with beadwork, but I have recently learned to do both stained glass and mosaic stepping stones. I'm sure I'll poke more into that area a bit more. Ken's just going to love it when I want to buy lots of materials because I need them to do stained glass. It can be an expensive hobby. I guess that's why I haven't done it yet? I'm married, obviously. My husband, Kenneth, and I were married in Gatlinburg, TN on October 29, 2000. We have since then moved into a house of our own and seem to be settling into married life pretty well, if I must say so myself. I'll include a photo album with pictures from the wedding as soon as I can get them scanned in at a higher quality, so check back for that. Here's a photo of us from the day after the wedding though. I really like this picture, even if we both look really pale in it. (Of course, we are both really pale...): ![]() I love dragons. And bears. And fairies/faeries both or however you prefer to spell it. And dolphins. And roses. Turtles... candles...just about anything cute and sweet, and I collect things pertaining to all of them. I love stationery, pens, stickers... Collect those as well. What can I say? I like pretty things! I graduated with an Associate of Applied Science degree from MGCCC, where I learned as much as I could about becoming an Interpreter for the Deaf. It was, so far, a very challenging area to study, but I really do enjoy it. I worked for Biloxi Public Schools for a few years, interpreting for a pair of hearing impaired girls, but left when they were moved on to another school. I'll look for another job in the field one day, but I'm a bit busy at the moment... In January of 2007, Ken and I are expecting our first child. We just moved into a new house (after living with my family for a year post-Katrina) and are rushing to try to get the place ready for a baby. It's going to be a crazy few months, but I'm sure that's nothing compared to what we need to be expecting! I think that's about enough about me for this page, considering the fact that most of this site will have to do with me, just in a slightly different manner. Right? |
